The Charities team are working with Mission Christmas to enable colleagues to donate a gift to a child in need this Christmas.
We're asking colleagues to donate a new unwrapped present for a baby or teenager. We're focusing our gift giving on this demographic as Mission Christmas doesn't receive enough presents for these age groups. All gifts can be donated to the Charities department from Monday 1st December - Monday 8th December. The gifts will then be taken to a Mission Christmas Warehouse who will distribute them.
This Christmas, hundreds of thousands of children will be living in poverty across the UK. Many are at risk of waking up with nothing under the tree because Christmas is a luxury their families simply can’t afford.
Mission Christmas is here to change that. We’re getting ready to help Santa reach children who might receive nothing – making sure they have something special to open on Christmas morning.
Mission Christmas struggle with receiving gifts for particular age groups, babies and teenagers so we have some suggested items for donation. However, Cash for Kids welcome any gifts for children.
Items need to be new and unwrapped. The wonderful volunteers at the Mission Christmas warehouses will sort and allocate the items to those families in need.
Organisations working with disadvantaged children in most parts of the UK can apply to receive gifts or gift vouchers from Mission Christmas. They work with schools, other charities, and local groups to make sure donations reach the children who need them the most.
