Important Application Information

Funding Limit: Applications are accepted for up to £30,000. Requests should be proportionate to the total project cost.

Scope: Funding is restricted to tangible investment or capacity building within your organisation.

Requirements: You must complete the application form, ensuring that you provide a comprehensive breakdown of how the funds will be utilised within the application.

Review Process

• Assessment: Applications are assessed on their individual merit and alignment with Next’s core values & objectives.

• Governance: The approval process is determined by the level of funding requested:

  • Requests of £1,000 or under: Reviewed and decided by the Charities Engagement Manager.

  • Requests between £1,000 and £30,000: Reviewed and decided on by our Charity Committee. Their decision is final and serves as the ultimate authority on all supported projects.

• Outcomes: 

  •  Volume of Requests: Due to the high volume of applications, we unfortunately cannot support every project, even if it meets the basic criteria.

  • Feedback: We are unable to provide specific feedback or enter into correspondence regarding unsuccessful applications.

Application Decisions

We will notify you of the decision via email within 14 days of the meeting in which your application is reviewed.

Your application is successful:

We will require the organisation's Bank Details. You must provide these  details within 2 weeks of notification in one of the following formats:

• On a  letterheaded document signed by an official of the charity/organization.

• A copy of a recent bank statement (less than 3 months old) signed/notarised by an official of the charity/organization.

Payment: Once details are verified, payment will be made via electronic transfer. Please allow up to 4 weeks for the funds to reach your account.

Your application is unsuccessful:

Due to the high number of requests, we cannot support every project. 

Outcome: We will notify you of the decision via email within 14 days of the meeting in which your application is reviewed.

Feedback:  We are unable to provide specific feedback on submissions.

Re-application: An unsuccessful outcome does not prohibit you from applying again in the future. However, there is a minimum 6-month waiting period from the date of your last submission before a new application can be considered.

Part 2: Project Details

• Project Name: (A concise name for your project)

• Amount Requested: (Specify the amount in GBP, up to £30,000)

• Project Description: Provide a detailed description of the problem you are addressing and your proposed solution. Explain the purpose of your request and how the funding will be used. Include information on who will benefit from the project and how it will be delivered. You may want to include a story from a beneficiary to add a personal touch.

• Mission/Vision: Briefly describe your organisation’s mission and vision. What is your purpose and how long have you been operating?

• Programs/Services: List your primary programs and services. If you have any unique offerings, be sure to highlight them here.

• Outcomes: Share specific, measurable outcomes from your recent work (e.g., from the last year). This could include the number of people you've supported and the positive impact your services have had.

• What this project will deliver: Clearly state the specific deliverables and targets for this particular project over a defined time period (e.g., over the next 12 months). This could be the number of people you will support, the number of interventions you will provide, or specific milestones you aim to achieve.
